The Orbiter 550 Oreck Floor Machine: Professional Grade
This Oreck Floor Machine is described to be the only floor machine that has the capability for stripping, waxing, buffing, sanding and refinishing hard surface floors. It’s also designed to be able to dry clean carpets.
Able to clean a path as wide as 13 inches, the Oreck Orbiter 550 is capable of making oscillating motions so that it can reach every corner, even to the baseboard. This makes the vacuum ideal for working on different kinds of floor surfaces.
The packages also come with a power cord that is 35 feet long.
Professional Grade Oreck Floor Machines and Burnishers
Oreck floor machines are actually made up of six series of cleaners: the FMH, FML, FMC, FMB, and FMT Series of Rotary floor machines, and the FMU series of burnishers.
All of these machines are designed with handles that are fully adjustable, in order to ensure maximum comfort for their operators. They have a polished aluminum chassis designed to add weight for optimal results. This chassis has a balance design so that it can give more precision in pad pressures.
In order to protect your walls and baseboards, Oreck has designed these floor machines to have full wrap bumpers that do not mark the construction of these surfaces. They also have low-profile drive aprons so that you can easily reach under counter coves and beds.
Each professional grade Oreck floor machine series has different specifications.
1. The FMH and FML series machines are capable of running at 175 rotations or oscillations per minute, and at a horsepower of 1.5. It is available in apron sizes of 15 inches, 17 inches, 19 inches and 21 inches.
2. The FMC Oreck floor machines run in at least 175 rotations per minute and at most 300 rotations per minute. Like the other FML and FMC series, it has aprons available in sizes of at least 13 inches and at most 21 inches. Their motor units are capable of giving out 1.5 horsepower.
3. Being configured for general floor cleaning, the FMB series machines have been designed with only minimal features. They have RPMs of 175, and are capable of 1.5 horsepower. Apron sizes available are 15 inches, 17 inches and 19 inches.
4. The FMT series are dual speed machines so they are designed to run at either 175 or 300 RPM settings, all of which run in 1.5 horsepower. Their DC-rectified motor system is designed to get rid of brown-outs, low voltage and startup torque problems.
5. The FMU series high-speed burnishers can run up to speeds of 1500 and 2000 RPM, at a power of 1.5 horsepower.
